The Thanksgiving holiday offers the opportunity to reflect with gratitude on the people, places, events, and memories that have shaped the year. In particular, we are grateful for the tremendous generosity of spirit our community has continued to demonstrate in support of neighbors in need. Opportunities to give back this holiday season are highlighted below.
At the same time, we recognize that some are experiencing complex emotions this holiday season, including members of our community who are deeply concerned for loved ones in Israel. The City continues to stand in solidarity with Highland Park's Jewish community and with all who are affected by the ongoing violence.
On behalf of Mayor Rotering, City Council, and City staff, we wish you a peaceful holiday weekend.
