Ravinia Festival Community Relations Commission
The Ravinia Festival Community Relations Commission (“RFCRC”) was created in 1985 by the City and Ravinia Festival Association (“RFA”) to seek citizen comment and to monitor the impact of the festival's activities on the community. The RFCRC reviewed and advised the City and RFA on neighborhood concerns, reviewed proposals, and advised the RFA on planned capital improvements, as those improvements impact the City's Comprehensive Master Plan and the Ravinia neighborhood.

On November 13, 2018, the Highland Park City Council approved an amendment to the Development Agreement with Ravinia Festival to increase community engagement. Ravinia Festival will hold at least two neighborhood meetings per year which they will facilitate and schedule in cooperation with the City. Ravinia Festival will send residents within 800 feet of their property an invitation to attend each meeting.  The neighborhood meetings allow residents, Ravinia Festival and the City to discuss traffic management plans and other matters of interest to residents. A representative of the City Council or City staff will attend each neighborhood meeting, and the City shall prepare and keep minutes of each meeting.
