Highland Park Connector
The Highland Park Connector is funded by the City of Highland Park and provides free bus transportation for seniors and people with disabilities, on a fixed route, within Highland Park. The bus is wheelchair accessible.
Update - March 24, 2020: Effective Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Highland Park Connector service will be suspended until further notice, for the health and safety of riders due to coronavirus (COVID-19.) Seniors and people with compromised immune systems are at greatest risk for complications of COVID-19. For transportation needs, please contact the City at 847.926.1000. Riders are asked to follow the guidelines below:
- The Highland Park Connector service can make additional stops, upon request, within its fixed route as long as the location is safe.
- The Highland Park Connector service is a handicapped-accessible bus with complimentary assistance provided by City employee to assist seniors with their belongings.
- Seniors accompanied by aides for mobility assistance are also welcome to ride along.

Reduced Taxi Fare Coupon Program
Coupon books may be obtained at the Moraine Township Office, located at 800 Central Avenue, or ordered by phone at 847.432.3000. Each book has 20 one-way tickets, worth $3.00 each, to be applied to the total charge per ride. Eligible riders can receive one book every two months. The coupons may be used anywhere except the airport. Coupons are non-transferable and do not have an expiration date. This program is funded by Moraine Township for Moraine Township residents who are senior citizens (65 years plus) or eligible persons with disabilities.

Moraine Township Door-to-Door Paratransit Van
Funded by Moraine Township, the van travels to locations outside of Highland Park, within a 15-mile radius. Medical appointments have first priority; other destinations are based on availability. This service is for Moraine Township residents who are seniors (65 years plus), or eligible persons with disabilities.

Senior Center Shuttle
Transportation is available between the Central Avenue parking lot and the Senior Center. There is a call box at the entrance to the parking lot which can be used to contact Center staff to request a ride from the lot. You can also use your cell phone to call the Senior Center: 847.432.4110
