Food will be available for purchase for individuals registering for the Concert & Drone Show portion of the evening entertainment. Alcohol will not be available for purchase and is not allowed. Please refer to the security protocols to ensure items you wish to bring with are allowed through the security gate. Please be courteous of the District 113 – Highland Park High School facilities and properly dispose of trash to avoid damage to the turf.
Registration is limited, but all tickets are general admission. Seating is available in the grandstand bleachers and on the field on a first-come, first-served basis. Ramps are available for wheelchair access to the bleachers at Wolters Field. A large portion of this event is standing-room only.
If planning to attend the Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band concert and related entertainment, please bring a blanket if you would prefer to sit on the field; please note that you will not have direct viewing access to the stage if you choose to sit on the turf. Outside chairs will not be permitted on the turf at Wolters Field.
Individuals who wish to attend only the drone show – not the Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band concert and related entertainment – may bring lawn chairs for viewing from the baseball field and Park Ave W.
Why will the drone show be in the opposite direction from the usual fireworks display?
The drones require additional space to safely fly. The drone show will be visible from typical viewing spots at the baseball field and the Highland Park Country Club, Staples and Target parking lots; just be sure to face southeast instead of northeast!
Are there washroom facilities within the event area for the evening entertainment?
Yes, the existing washrooms at Wolters Field are part of the event area and additional port-o-lets will be available. You do not need to leave the event area for washroom facilities. For those attending the drone show only, port-o-lets will be available within the designated viewing area.
