Holiday Light Show
Using super bright beams of color, patterns, and texture, along with infinite color mixing light washes, the show will create a dynamic effect coordinated with music. The lighting images will be projected onto the surrounding buildings, the crowd, sky, and ground areas. A vertical fogger will shoot streams of fog 20’ into the air adding to the impact of the lighting effects.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to shop and dine locally throughout the holidays with extended parking hours in public parking lots in Downtown Highland Park between Saturday, November 16 and Monday, January 6, 2020. Extended parking hours only pertain to public lots. On-street customer-only parking, disabled parking, fire hydrant, and loading zones will still be enforced. Additionally, permit parking still remains in effect. Employee parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.

In addition to the host of family-friendly holiday activities, there are opportunities to give back to those in need of assistance this holiday season:

Zac's Zoo: Zac Cohen, a Highland Park resident who recently passed away at the young age of 20, started a charity called Zac's Zoo when he was only seven years old. His family is carrying on his legacy of collecting new stuffed animals that first responders can give to children who are in need of comfort during crisis situations. Bring a new stuffed animal to Port Clinton Square between 3 and 5 PM to support the cause.

Moraine Township Food Pantry: The City will be accepting donations for the Moraine Township Food Pantry, including food and toiletry donations for those who are in need of sustenance assistance. Please bring non-expired, sealed items. Most needed items include cereal, rice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cleaning supplies.
