Bike Fair and Resident Fair

Highland Park Bike Fair, Resident Fair and How-To Fest
June 11, 2017

Residents are encouraged to visit Downtown Highland Park to celebrate bicycle safety at the Annual Bike Fair, learn about services and programs offered in the community at the Annual Resident Fair, and take advantage of numerous demonstrations and presentations at the Annual How-To-Fest. The City of Highland Park and the Highland Park Public Library are proud to present the events throughout the day.

All events are free and open to the public. Public Parking will be available for all events on the streets and in nearby municipal lots. Parking restrictions in certain lots will not be enforced. Event details are below.  

Highland Park Bike Fair
10 AM to 1 PM
Family Bike Ride: 11 AM
Central Station East Lot (between City Hall and Metra)
Coordinated by the City of Highland Park
Bicycle and helmet safety checks, demos, bike rodeo, raffles, a family-friendly bike ride and child safety seat inspections
Remember to bring unused or unwanted bikes to donate to Working Bikes.

Resident Fair
2 PM – 4 PM
Highland Park Public Library
Coordinated by the City of Highland Park
Meet with representatives from the City of Highland Park, the Highland Park Public Library, the Park District of Highland Park, School District 112, School District 113, Moraine Township and Lake County, along with representatives from Lake Shore Recycling, North Shore Gas, ComEd, AT&T, the State Treasures Office, Highland Park Hospital, Ravinia Festival and the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO).
