On Wednesday, July 13 at 7:00 PM the City of Highland Park will host a vigil at City Hall (1707 St. Johns Ave.) for the community to gather together and honor the memory of the victims.

Family Assistance Center Extended through July 15: In partnership with the FBI, the American Red Cross, IEMA and LC EMA, the City of Highland Park and Township High School District 113 announced the extension of the Family Assistance Center (FAC) and community-led counseling services located at Highland Park High School, 433 Vine Ave. 

The FAC and community-led counselors will continue to serve individuals and families impacted by the July 4 mass shooting at the Highland Park 4th of July Parade through Friday, July 15. Daily operating hours are 11 AM– 7 PM. Individuals should enter the High School through the H-Entrance. The H-Entrance is located on the north side of the school, near St. Johns Avenue and Woodpath Lane.

En colaboración con la Oficina Federal de Investigaciones (FBI), la Cruz Roja Estadounidense, la Agencia de Manejo de Emergencias de Illinois (IEMA) y la Agencia de Manejo de Emergencias del Condado de Lake (LCEMA), la Ciudad de Highland Park y el Distrito Escolar 113 anuncia la continuación del Centro de Asistencia Familiar (FAC) y los servicios de consejería dirigidos por la comunidad ubicados en la preparatoria de Highland Park, 433 Vine Ave.

El FAC y los consejeros dirigidos por la comunidad continuarán sirviendo a las personas y familias afectadas por el tiroteo masivo del 4 de julio en el Desfile del 4 de julio de Highland Park hasta el viernes 15 de julio. El horario de atención diario es de 11 a.m. a 7 p.m. Las personas deben ingresar a la escuela preparatoria a través de la entrada H. La entrada H está ubicada en el lado norte de la escuela, cerca de St. Johns Avenue y Woodpath Lane.

Crisis workers from Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center, a community mental health care center located in Skokie, will be at the Highland Park Public Library to provide support for children, adolescents, and adults. Crisis workers can help with accessing community resources, coping skills to manage stress, and long-term therapy, and can provide emotional support or a listening ear.

Los trabajadores de crisis de Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center, un centro comunitario de atención de salud mental ubicado en Skokie, estarán en la biblioteca para brindar apoyo a niños, adolescentes y adultos. Los trabajadores ayudaran a acceder recursos de la comunidad, encontrar estrategias para manejar el estrés, opciones de terapia a largo plazo, y brindar apoyo emocional o simplemente escuchar tu experiencia con los hechos recientes.
