Community members are invited to a groundbreaking ceremony at the Ravinia Fire Station on Monday, May 16, beginning at 4:30 PM. The program will include remarks from Mayor Nancy Rotering, City Manager Ghida Neukirch, and Fire Chief Joe Schrage. Guests will have the opportunity to take home a brick from the old fire station.
Guests are invited to gather across the street from the construction at the temporary fire station, which is located at Brown Park (655 Burton Ave.) Parking will be available nearby in the Metra lot, but guests are encouraged to walk or bike.
Please note: due to COVID-19 protocols, tours of the temporary fire station will not be available. Thank you for your understanding.
