The City of Highland Park hosted a virtual Veterans Day Observance on Wednesday, November 11 at 11:00 AM via Zoom. Representatives from the American Legion Post #145, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4737 and Jewish War Veterans #29 were present and the Highland Park High School Brass Quintet performed patriotic music. Dr. Sheldon Rosenstein and Col. Aaron W. Reisinger were recognized as the 2020 Hero Among Us honorees. In addition to remarks from the 2020 honorees, elected officials including Mayor Nancy Rotering, State Representative Bob Morgan, State Senator Julie Morrison, and Congressman Brad Schneider all shared their appreciation for the service of our veterans.
