Regional Flood Mitigation Meeting Planned For October 21, 2020

September 25, 2020 -- The City of Highland Park will host a follow-up regional flood mitigation meeting on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 6:00 PM via Zoom. Although each municipality in our region has a robust stormwater management program, continued coordinated efforts to address the regional threat to health, safety and welfare caused by flooding is critical. During the meeting, various units of government will provide updates on their efforts and the collective opportunity to address this matter through a regional approach. Notes from the previous meeting on April 15, 2020, and the first meeting on October 21, 2019 are available on the City's website.

Following reports from partner municipalities, the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission, East Skokie Drainage District, and Army Corps of Engineers will provide updates on previously discussed projects and share information regarding any new initiatives. The meeting will allow time for public comment.
