Winter Weather Advisory for Highland Park (01/10/20)

January 10, 2020 -- The US National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Advisory beginning 3 AM Saturday, January 11 through late 3 AM Sunday, January 12. Forecasts call for a mix of freezing rain with accumulating ice of up to two-tenths of an inch and sleet Friday night into Saturday, possibly changing to snow Saturday evening. The Public Works Department is actively monitoring the weather forecast and will implement snow and ice control procedures to clean roadways. To report concerns related to snow and ice control, please contact Public Works at 847.432.0807 during regular business hours. To contact Public Works after-hours or on weekends, please contact the Police non-emergency number at 847.432.7730. Please drive carefully and allow extra time if commuting during winter weather.
