PACE Public Meeting

Pace will be holding a public hearing regarding proposed changes to the Green Bay Road Pace Route #213 on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at the Levy Center in the Linden Room located at 300 Dodge Ave, Evanston, IL, 60202.

In 2016, PACE and the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) initiated the North Shore Transit Service Coordination Plan and Market Analysis Study. The primary goal of the project is to improve coordination of Pace and CTA services by studying existing travel markets and reviewing new developments in the study area. The last major service restructuring took place in 2004. The study resulted in a new route network which Pace and CTA propose to implement in phases over the next three years. This public hearing represents the first phase of proposed changes, which includes changes to route 213 through Highland Park.

There are a number of changes being discussed for route 213 that will impact Highland Park Commuters. The proposed changes are:

  • Consolidated service north of Lake Cook Road to a single alignment to operate via Lake Cook – Northbrook Court – US 41- Central – Highland Park Metra Station.
  • Remove service on Green Bay Road between Lake-Cook Road and Highland Park Metra Station.
  •  Improve off-peak service frequency between downtown Winnetka and Highland Park Metra Station to operate every 30 minutes.
