Inclusion for all Coalition

Mayor Nancy Rotering is proud to be signing onto a coalition aimed at highlighting the broad support for laws that ensure all Americans are treated equally. Mayors across the country are currently speaking out about Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, a case of a bakery that denied service to a same-sex couple because they are gay- and in the lead-up to the case more than 150 Mayors and jurisdictions submitted an amicus brief in support of the equality.

The statement will also be shared as part of the #OpenToAll campaign, a coalition effort aimed at highlighting the broad support for laws that ensure all Americans are treated equally.

Inclusion and diversity are critical components to thriving communities and economies - efforts to undermine or exempt businesses from LGBTQ-inclusive policies are bad for business and bad for communities.
