The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division includes emergency medical operations and equipment. This division is managed by a chief medical officer. The department continues to upgrade equipment to provide the best medical care possible.
EMS Details:
- All members are certified Paramedics
- 2 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances
- 4 ALS Fire Suppression Apparatus
- Region 10 EMS Protocols / Northshore University Highland Park Hospital
In addition to providing emergency medical response services and transportation to hospitals, the EMS Division is very active in the community, providing first aid training, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) training, maintaining an apparatus/personnel presence at community events and participating in an intergovernmental committee to address community needs.
