INVITATION FOR BIDS

The City of Highland Park will receive sealed bids for the:

 2018 Roofing Project – Fine Arts Center/Water Treatment Plant/Fire Arms Training Center

until 11:00 a.m., June 21, 2018

 The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of the removal and replacement of the following: (Project 1) a complete tear off and replacement of the existing roof at The Fine Arts Center, 1957 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, IL; (Project 2) removal and replacement of the existing roof at Fire Arms Training Facility 1180 Half Day Road, Highland Park, IL; and (Project 3) removal and replacement of: (i) one roof system; (ii) two optional roof systems; and (iii) miscellaneous repairs at the Water Plant 10 East Park Avenue Highland Park, IL. For the described projects detailed specifications will be provided. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards of this Contract. The winning bidder of Fine Art Center Roof Project will need to coordinate roof removal/replacement with the HVAC contractor that will simultaneously be replacing the facilities roof top units.  There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. on-site at 1957 Sheridan Road.  

 Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. NO paper bids will be accepted.

 Bid security is required as stated in the “Bid Security”section found on page 1 in the Instructions portion of the Bid Package. 

 The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract.  All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).  Contractors must provide Certified Monthly Payroll Reports.
