 INVITATION FOR BIDS
The City of Highland Park will receive sealed bids for the:
 
RICHFIELD/SOUTHLAND AVENUE STORM SEWER AND PAVING PROJECT
 
until 11:00 a.m., APRIL 26, 2018

NO paper copies will be provided by the owner.
 
The work consists of installation of new PVC storm sewer, new concrete curb and gutter, milling and HMA resurfacing of the pavement, and minor landscape restoration with topsoil and sod.  Major pay items in the contract include: 328 ft of 21-inch SDR-26 SS, 50 ft of 18-inch SDR-26 SS, 34 ft of 15-inch SDR-26 SS, 792 ft of 12-inch SDR-26 SS, 2,450 ft of R&R Combination concrete curb & gutter, Type B.6-12, 1,120 SY of concrete pavt patching, 310 Tons of HMA Surface Course, 310 Tons of HMA Binder Course, 1,226 CY of Trench Backfill, 3,200 SY of HMA Surface Removal, 3 ¼ inches, 2,350 SF of PCC Sidewalk, minor water main work as noted in the contract documents, and 800 SY of Sod.
 
Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. NO paper bids will be accepted.
 
Bid security is required as stated in the “Bid Security”section found on page 2 in the Instructions portion of the Bid Package.  Each prospective Bidder shall furnish a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility as issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract.  All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).  Contractors must provide Certified Monthly Payroll Reports.
