The work consists of the reconstruction of a gravel alley pavement. The alley is located immediately south of 1955 Linden Avenue, with Park Avenue to the north and Central Avenue to the south. The limits of construction are east of Linden Avenue to the east end where the alley terminates. The existing gravel pavement will be replaced with 230 square yards of an interlocking 3 1/8” thick interlocking permeable brick paver pavement. The brick pavers will be placed over a 20 inch thick stone base. 525 feet of concrete curb will line the edge of the brick paver pavement. The paver pavement will be drained with 100 feet of 6 inch pipe underdrains. In addition to the pavers, this project will be removing 300’of the existing 6” clay sanitary sewer and replacing it with 8” PVC sanitary sewer. Included in the sewer portion of the project will be the reconnection of 4 residential sanitary services. Small quantities of HMA and concrete sidewalk are included in this contract. Areas disturbed adjacent to the alley will be restored with 50 square yards of mulch and with 120 square yards of sod.
