The City’s
Transit Division employees provide safe and dependable transportation
for over a half-million passengers annually, including residents
of Highland Park, surrounding communities and visitors to Ravinia
Festival.
The City’s Transit Division, is comprised a fleet of eight
Pace buses that are environmentally friendly. These buses operate
on bio-diesel, a mixture of soybean oil and diesel fuel. This fuel
helps to provide cleaner exhaust emissions. All eight buses are
wheelchair-accessible and are also equipped with easy to use bike
racks.
In addition to the Pace system, the Division also operates a Senior Connector Bus Service. More information on the Pace Bus Service and Senior Connector Bus Service may be found by clicking on the logos below.
