The Police Department also maintains a secure pound facility located at 1150 Half Day Road. The facility is designed to specially care for and temporarily house all impounded domestic animals. The City has a long-term partnership with Save-A Pet (847-740-7788) to help ensure that lost, homeless and unwanted animals are given another chance to find a home through the adoption process. All unclaimed domestic animals are turned over to Save-A-Pet (a no-kill animal adoption facility).
