Highland Park Historic Preservation Awards








The Historic Preservation Commission is accepting nominations for the 2016 Highland Park Historical Preservation Awards. The Historical Preservation Commission sponsors the awards in order to recognize and encourage projects to preserve, conserve and protect buildings, objects, landscapes or other artifacts of historical significance of the historic homes in Highland Park. 

The 2016 Awards will recognize five categories:
  1. Restoration
  2. Rehabilitation
  3. Adaptive Reuse
  4. Landscape Restoration
  5. New Construction.  

Last year’s winners included the rehabilitation and the Adaptive Re-Use of the John S. Van Bergen house at 660 DeTamble Avenue and a restoration of the 37 MacArthur Loop house in the Fort Sheridan historic area.

Nominations are due to City Hall by Monday, October 24 and the Awards will be presented in November.
