PV_Photo.jpg

ALTHOUGH ALL INCLUSIVES ARE A GREAT VALUE, THERE ARE MANY GREAT RESTAURANTS IN PUERTO VALLARTA YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS.

*VITEA- owned by Ulf Henriksson and Bernhard Guth.  Bernhard and Ulf participated many of our Gourmet Gala’s, most recently in October 2015.  On the Malecon extension looking out at the Pacific Ocean.  Reasonable and excellent cuisine.  Very popular.

*CAFÉ des ARTISTES  - Thierry Blouet has participated in our Gourmet Dinner many times.  His restaurant is awarded one of the best in Mexico every year.  Request the outside dining.  This is the most beautiful dining venue you will ever experience.  Long pants are preferred.   Number 1 restaurant in PV on Trip Advisor.

*TRIO- Another of Ulf and Bernhard’s restaurants. Mediterranean cuisine is exceptional.  Try the lamb chops and the ravioli.  Very classy atmosphere and great food.

*4SAPORI.  In Marina.  New restaurant with cuisines from Canada, Mexico, Asia and Italy.  Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Ana Maria Flores, our good friend is an owner of this restaurant. It has received great reviews.  Varied menu.

*EL ARRAYAN- voted best Mexican food in Puerto Vallarta for the last few years.  Great flavors.  Carmen and Claudia are the owners, say hello to them and tell them you’re from HP. Duck Confit main course is outstanding as is Plantain appetizer.  El Arrayan margarita is outstanding.

*BARCELONA TAPAS- great tapas.  Owner, Bill, is from Palos Hills. Great Sangria and fabulous food.  Lots of steps, great view of city on 2nd floor.   AmEx and cash only

*PIAZETTA- great pizza and other Italian dishes.  Inexpensive.  In Old City.

*LA PALAPA- Popular.  On the Ocean.  Upscale.  Great Breakfast on the beach

*BARRACUDA- on beach.  Cash only.  Good seafood.  Very, very casual, near the Sheraton and very reasonable.

*DERBY BURGER- Old City.  6 tables outside.  Who would have thought there would be fantastic burgers in Mexico.  Cash only.  Inexpensive.

*HACIENDA SAN ANGEL.  In a boutique hotel.  Beautiful and romantic.  Very small.  In town above Church of Guadalupe. Make reservations for Sunday brunch.  Very classy and great selection.   Beautiful view to ocean over Church.

*BRAVOS- Delicious food, great drinks, great people and perfectly priced.

DAQUIRI DICKS-on the beach.  Good Snapper on a stick.  Popular with tourists.  Lots of people from HP go here.  Ask for table outside.

VISTA GRILL- somewhat expensive.  Beautiful view; average food.

RED CABBAGE- in town.  Very small. Cash only.  Great 5-course dinner with drinks for about $45-50 per person.  Authentic Mexican.  Very traditional.  Lola is the owner.

CAFÉ DE OLLA- Mexican.  Loud and fun.  In the romantic zone.  Always crowded.
