Neighbor to Neighbor
On November 6, 2014 the program known as Neighborhood Leaders has changed to Neighbor to Neighbor. The title change came about in order to emphasize the concept of building community and getting neighbors to know one another.
Neighbor to Neighbor is a City-led initiative to help foster a greater sense of community among neighbors in Highland Park and create a safer community. Building a stronger sense of community, improving communication and enhancing public safety are the three main themes of Neighbor to Neighbor.
Residents who wish to have their neighborhood join Neighbor to Neighbor, will have the opportunity to serve as Neighborhood Coordinator. As Neighborhood Coordinator they will receive targeted information from the City, be invited to quarterly Neighbor to Neighbor meetings at City Hall and help facilitate communication within their neighborhood.
By embracing the themes of Neighbor to Neighbor, neighborhoods can become more organized in order to look out for one another and work together to solve community issues.
To have your neighborhood join the Neighbor to Neighbor initiative, please fill out the online form. Forms are also available at City Hall upon request.
