Fourth Annual Highland Park Business Summit
On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, the City of Highland Park will host its fourth annual Business Summit at the Highland Park Country Club. The Summit is a collaborative effort between the City of Highland Park and the business community to facilitate economic growth within Highland Park and beyond. The Summit also provides the City with an opportunity to informally obtain feedback from the business community about their key concerns. This feedback is a fundamental component to the City’s future business development efforts.
Back by popular demand, this year's keynote speaker is Howard Tullman. Howard Tullman is the CEO of 1871 – where digital startups get their start and the General Managing Partner of G2T3V, LLC and of Chicago High Tech Investment Partners. He is a member of Mayor Emanuel’s Chicago NEXT and Cultural Affairs Councils; the Innovate Illinois Advisory Council; the Illinois Arts Council; a member of President Preckwinkle’s New Media Council; an adjunct professor at Kellogg; and an advisor to many start-ups. He is the former Chairman and CEO of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. Over the last 45 years, he has successfully founded more than a dozen high-tech companies.
In addition to the keynote speaker, City officials will provide highlights of Highland Park's business development initiatives and efforts to build partnerships and collaboration with the business community to work toward a common goal to improve economic growth, vibrancy and quality of life in the community. The event will conclude with an opportunity to network with business colleagues throughout the region.
The 2016 Business Summit is generously sponsored by Ravinia Festival, First Bank of Highland Park, North Shore Gas, North Shore University Health System, Fifth Third Bank, Renaissance Place, Lakeshore Recycling Systems, Lake County Partners, Dunkin Donuts, Synergy Marketing Solutions, and Amber Insurance Services.
