Property Taxes
The City’s total tax levy for 2011 is $10.8 million, which is less than the $11.8 million levied ten years ago. The levy rate has fallen from 1.045 for the 1993 levy to .468 for the current year – a decrease in the tax rate of nearly 55%. The City of Highland Park has made a significant effort to minimize growth in property taxes.
