Serving on a City commission is a great way for students to see democracy in action. The City of Highland Park supports education of tomorrow’s leaders by providing an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to serve on a City commission for terms starting in January of junior year until graduation. While you won’t be a voting member, you may have the opportunity to add your perspective to the commission discussions.
Carefully review the information below before applying. Your submission of this application indicates that you understand the time commitment involved and are willing to fulfill the requirements as a commission member if selected. Please visit the Boards & Commissions page prior to applying to learn more about each Commission. Please note: only high school juniors who live in Highland Park are eligible to apply.
