The Center is year-round social, enrichment, and skill development center for people with developmental disabilities, with a primary disability of mental retardation. Members range in age from pre-school to seventy years old and come from throughout the Chicagoland area. This unique social center is open during the week to fill daytime, after work, after school, evening and weekend hours with a camp program in the summer. Membership fee or sliding fee scale. Haven provides 24 hours crisis intervention, grief counseling, and emergency foster care for youths who are experiencing extreme conflicts at home or who have run away or been locked out of their homes. Referrals can be from youth's parents or from professionals. No charge.

The Migrant Council assists migrant/seasonal farmworkers and people in a community who are economically disadvantaged by providing food and fuel assistance, housing and emergency shelter. As a rape crisis center, LaCASA offers individual crisis counseling for women, children, and men. We offer groups for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and mothers of children who have been sexually abused. We offer community education and advocacy services. We respond to hospitals, schools, police departments and offer a 24-hour hot-line for those in need of support. No charge for individual counseling. Spanish speaking staff available.

Among the more than 70 programs and services offered are primary medical and dental care, HIV and STD screening and education, environmental services, behavioral health and substance abuse counseling and treatment, immunizations, Alzheimer's information and support groups, daycare center information and referrals, and health education. Services are offered day and evening at over 20 sites. Many services are free, others on a sliding scale fee, no one refused service due to inability to pay. Spanish speaking staff available.
