The Highland Park Public Access Television Center strives to inform the public on municipal affairs, promote participation in community programs and events and preserve public access through community television. Highland Park City staff is responsible for coordination and production of programming on cable access channels 10 and 19 for the City of Highland Park, City of Highwood, Village of Deerfield and Village of Winnetka.

Cable Access Channel 10
Highland Park's Cable Access Channel 10 provides information pertaining to municipal affairs, City programs and events, and airs both the City Council Meetings and the Plan Commission Meetings. Below is the schedule for the meetings:
City
Council Meetings: Live City Council Meetings are aired at 7:30 p.m. on the
second and fourth Monday of the month, and are played back Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 1:00 p.m., and the first
and third Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. (see schedule for details). A VHS copy is also available at the Highland
Park Library.
Plan Commission Meetings: Live Plan Commission Meetings
are aired at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month,
and are played back Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. and the second and fourth Tuesday of
the month at 7:30 p.m.. A VHS copy is also available
at the Highland Park Library.
Cable Access Channel 19
Cable Access Channel 19 provides the public with programs produced by community producers.

Community Producers
The Highland Park Public Access Television Center provides community producers with the ability to utilize access televsion production facilities and equipment. Community producers are those that are residents of or employed within the City of Highland Park, City of Highwood, Village of Deerfield or Village of Winnetka. If a producer is not a resident of or employed within the service area, they may drop off programs for playback on Cable Access Channel 19.
Public Access Television Center staff will hold an annual workshop for those interested in becoming a certified, community producer. Staff will instruct residents in television production techniques such as producing, directing and editing a program.
