Parents- We understand
that the teenage years may be a difficult time, so let us (The
Firehouse) be a resource for you! Youth Services provides
after school supervision, appropriate games and activities at the
Activity Center, transportation from school to The Firehouse,
socialization opportunities, activities on days off of school as
well as parenting tips and support groups. Our dedicated staff
supervises each level of our Activity Center and ensures that the
environment is a safe, healthy environment for your child as he or she
navigates these difficult and often turbulent years.
At Youth Services, we also recognize the significant role that
parents play in the development and well-being of their adolescents.
To address some concerns that parents have during this very difficult
period, we provide a variety of Parenting Classes, Parent Support
Groups, and facilitate the high school and middle school Parent
Networks. In addition to the group settings, we are always happy
to answer any parenting questions you may have, on an individual
basis.
The Firehouse Youth Center is one of the most well respected
and frequently modeled youth centers in Illinois. We appreciate
all of the support we have received from the community and strive
to constantly improve our services. Please let us know if you have
any questions or concerns. You may call Charlotte Landsman at 847-432-4110
to receive more information about any of the following parenting
education opportunities.
