“Rock Around the Clock” at this 50s style gathering. Single men and women from the Highland Park, Lake Forest / Lake Bluff and Patty Turner Senior Centers are invited for an opportunity to meet new people. Dance to the music or sit and enjoy the tunes you know so well. A fabulous 50s band will entertain you in this fun and casual atmosphere; wine, cheese, and soft drinks will be served. New Spertus Museum - Filled, Wait List Only

Spectacular architecture houses this new cultural center, enclosed in a glass facade with “eye-popping” design characteristics. The structure was built expressly to house Spertus’ fine art and world-class collection of approximately 1,500 Jewish-related artifacts. It’s library encompasses a climate-controlled room housing 4,000 rare books and maps. No museum is complete without a lovely gift shop and this one is no exception. The group will enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Cliff Dweller’s Club, across from Millennium Park. You will have a chance to walk through the park and enjoy the beauty of the gardens and sculpture. The club was founded in 1907 and established as a private club for men and women either professionally engaged in, or supporting fine and performing arts.

A Day at the Races at Arlington Park Racecourse

Pick your favorite horses, place your bets and enjoy a lovely afternoon. You can enjoy a beverage while you read the program and plot your strategy. Viewing the Paddock, you will see the competing horses paraded as they prepare to enter the track. The beautifully landscaped grounds are a lovely backdrop to enjoy, even if you do not have a gambling spirit . In order to maintain the desired decorum, the facility requires a “business casual” dress code and does not allow jeans, shorts, or gym shoes. Fee includes park admission, race program, buffet lunch, and open bar.
